Riviera Australia TECH Event: Coomera Marine Precinct

Riviera TECH provided a great day of learning, sharing, and connecting, giving delegates a rare and generous behind-the-scenes look at one of Australia’s largest composite manufacturing facilities.

Written by Kerryn Caulfield, Executive Director, Composites Australia Inc.

Hosted by Riviera Australia at its Coomera facility on Queensland’s Gold Coast, the event offered valuable insight into the processes, skills and precision involved in building the company’s world-class luxury motor yachts.

Spanning 16.8 hectares, Riviera’s manufacturing operation brings together composite fabrication, engineering, systems integration, finishing trades and quality control within a highly structured production environment. Multiple yachts progress through successive stages of construction simultaneously, demonstrating the scale, coordination and workforce capability required to transform raw materials into sophisticated, ocean-going vessels.

Judd Silk, Head of Lamination at Riviera, led one of the tour groups through the manufacturing facility, sharing insights into the composite processes, skills and attention to detail behind Riviera’s world-class motor yachts.
