The Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail referred to as the Australian Dangerous Goods Code or ADG Code

Intermediate Bulk Container – a transportable liquid container with a capacity of 1000 litres

IMMISSION
The influx of sound at a point

LEL
Lower Explosive Limit is the level of concentration in percentage by volume in air above which explosion can occur upon ignition in a confined area.

Low Styrene Emission

OES
Occupational Exposure Standard: Any exposure standard listed in NOHSC Occupational Exposure Standards publication currently applicable in Australia. Occupational standards are defined for both short-term effects (OES ceiling and OES short-term exposure limits) and long-term effects (OES time-weighted average exposure limits).

PRACTICABLE
Means that all reasonable measures have been taken to ensure the health and safety of the employee in the circumstances taking into account:
• the severity of the hazard or risk;
• the state of knowledge about the hazard or risk and any ways of removing or reducing the hazard or risk;
• availability and suitability of ways to remove or reduce the hazard or risk; and the cost of removing or reducing the hazard or risk.

Reinforcement materials ttat have been impregnated with the resin system in a previous process.

RCD
Residual Current Device

REGULATIONS

SHALL
Is used in places where there is a technical requirement to achieve the desired result.  It is used to alert the reader to the need for that element to be included.

SHOULD
Is used as a way of indicating a preference.  It does not indicate a mandatory requirement as other alternatives could achieve an equivalent result.

TOXIC
Injurious to human health when swallowed, inhaled or otherwise absorbed into the body (poisonous).

UN NUMBER
The number assigned to dangerous goods by the UN committee of experts in the transport of dangerous goods.  It is a four digit number e.g. 2055
