Specialising in carbon fibre components, Quickstep is an independent advanced composite manufacturer, capable of almost all facets of precision engineered composite parts production. Its Bankstown manufacturing site features a comprehensive range of advanced manufacturing equipment including – autoclave and out-of-autoclave curing; NDT testing equipment; CNC ply-cutting and laser-guided lay-up; precision milling machine (PMM) cells and robotic trimming; robotic/automated drilling and riveting; complex assembly and painting and; laboratory testing of materials/components.
In just over 20 years, Quickstep has evolved from a Perth based small R&D start-up to a publicly listed, precision engineered composite component manufacturer for the Australian defence, aerospace, mobility and other advanced sectors.
Demi Stefanova, Chief Operating Officer, will outline the company’s vision for the future of composites manufacturing in Australia, including the maturation of its patented fabricating technology and the evolving sectors driving new developments in automated composite technology. The presentation will also outline the company’s renewed emphasis on skills development and workforce growth.

Joining Quickstep in June 2022, Demi, a highly skilled senior executive provides Quickstep with experience in successfully establishing and managing complex manufacturing operations in highly regulated environments.
Demi has played key leadership roles in a number of global businesses; building operations, and executing global change and transformation programs.
Demi lives in Sydney and holds a Masters in Engineering from the University of Melbourne and a BA in Engineering from the Technical University of Varna.
