Until recently, utilities companies that needed aerial footage would contact a helicopter company, which would operate the flight and put data on the server. Carbonix is now replacing this kind of service as a package to councils whereby the company undertakes the surveillance using its own UAV’s and software gather and fed back data in real time. The funding round attracted investment from listed Defence aerospace manufacturer Quickstep Holdings.
