International Summer School on Composites in Infrastructure

12 – 14 July, 2017 at the University of Woollongong, NSW, Australia

Following the success of the inaugural International Summer School on Composites in Infrastructure (ISSCI) in 2016, the University of Woolongong’s International Centre for Composites in Infrastructure  will host  the second summer school  from 12 to 14 July, 2017). To be taught by a strong team of experts, the ISSCI, aims to prepare researchers and postgraduate students for high-quality research in the area, and to prepare engineers for practical applications.  Note early bird savings end 30 May 2017.

The summer school will be preceded by the International Symposium for Emerging Researchers in Composites for Infrastructure (ISERCI), which will be held on 10-11 July 2017 at the University of Woollongong. The symposium aims to provide an international forum for upcoming researchers/practitioners and rising stars in the area to share their recent advances in both research and practice, and to explore research/industry partnership opportunities.

8th Australian Small Bridges Conference 

27-28 November 2017, Surfers Paradise Marriott, Queensland, Australia

The conference will provide practical guidance and inform bridge, road and rail engineers, asset owners, managers, contractors and suppliers about significant new developments and requirements for small to medium span bridges, including culverts and associated civil and geotechnical works including Geotechnical Engineering and Earth Structures for Bridges, Road and Rail. 

The two day conference program will focus on small to medium span bridges for road, rail and pedestrian/cyclist applications including:

• Investigation and Testing 
 • Asset Management 
 • Condition Assessment 
 • Load Capacity
 • Bridge Code Changes 
 • Repair, Maintenance, Refurbishment and/or Strengthening 
 • Bridge Lifting  
 • New Construction 
 • Timber, Concrete, Steel and Composite Bridges as well as Culverts
 • Innovations in Design, Construction and Maintenance
 • Architectural and Heritage Issues 
 • Road, Rail, Pedestrian, Mining and Airport Structures;
 • Associated Earth Structures, Retaining Structures and Geotechnical Works

Abstracts will be accepted to 31 May 2017.  
Book by 28th July to secure the Early Bird Registration Rates from $Aust 750 pp inc GST for the full two days
