Weir Minerals is a global market leader in providing engineered solutions for the mining industry. It has three manufacturing bases in Australia, the largest of which is located in Artarmon, Sydney with a foundry, machine shop, elastomer manufacturing, product assembly and test facilities.
Weir Minerals has over 20 engineering departments worldwide, of which four are based in Australia. Its portfolio of proprietary equipment performs a myriad of industrial processing functions, including but not limited to: slurry transportation, mine dewatering, crushing & grinding, tailings management and wear lining.
The tour of the Weir Minerals Artarmon industrial site will be preceded by a presentation on the company’s engineering and manufacturing ideology, including 5S methodology, the application of Lean Systems and engineering management frameworks.
- This event is limited to 30 people.
- Steel-cap footwear is required for site visit, all other PPE will be issued for the tour.
