Composites in infrastructure: building for the future

This half-day seminar will explore case histories and growth opportunities for the application of composites in civil infrastructure with discussion led by a distinguished panel of presenters.

Over the past 20 years there has been considerable growth in the successful application of composites in the design, construction and refurbishment of civil infrastructure around the world.  Arguably the most well known example is Melbourne’s Westgate Bridge upgrade project – one of the world’s largest applications of FRP strengthening infrastructure.

But composites successes – and future opportunities – are not limited to a few high profile cases.  Composites have, and will continue to provide engineers, designers and planners with cost-effective and efficient solutions to a wide range of infrastructure challenges.

In this half-day seminar, case histories and growth opportunities across a broad range and scale of infrastructure scenarios, will be discussed by a distinguished panel of presenters, with a focus on both application and theory.

Those involved in the design, specification, planning and purchasing of infrastructure projects are encouraged to attend, including:

  • Engineers
  • Designers
  • Government infrastructure authorities
  • Infrastructure contractors
  • Architects

Date and venue to be confirmed.
