Featuring a number of recent projects, this forum demonstrates the capabilities of Australian composites practitioners to achieve innovative and high quality infrastructure solutions.

Members of Composites Australia, Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Architects are eligible for the Member rate.

In recent years there has been considerable growth in the successful application of composites in infrastructure, construction and civil engineering around the world.  Composites have, and will continue to provide engineers, designers and planners with cost-effective and efficient solutions to a wide range of infrastructure challenges, while achieving aesthetic and other short and long term benefits. Design approaches and unique applications will continue to be developed to exploit the advantages of Fibre Reinforced Plastics (FRP).

An exciting and creative era is unfolding, issuing in opportunities for design solutions not previously contemplated for the construction of bridges and other infrastructure.

This event will introduce the Special Interest Hub for Composites in Infrastructure, a joint initiative of META and  Composites Australia to further the development of standards and guidelines for bridge rehabilitation and construction using advanced composites.
