Call for Papers

Australian Composites Structures Society (ACSS) Best Paper Award of $500 cash and a certificate will be awarded to the presenting author of the best peer reviewed paper  at the conference dinner on Wednesday 29 March 2017.

Composites Australia has pleasure in inviting researchers from academia and industry to participate in our 2017 Advanced Composites Innovation Conference – the pre-eminent Supporters logoscomposites conference in Australasia.

The conference aims to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge, present the latest developments and trends, propose new solutions and applications plus facilitate collaborations.

Dates                Conference Proceedings: Wednesday and Thursday, 29 – 30 March, 2017

Venue              Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, Sanctuary Cove QLD Australia

This Call for Papers is soliciting abstracts on papers for the peer reviewed stream on (but not limited to) topics relevant to the conference title, such as

  • New and emerging composite technologies
  • New and emerging composite fibres, resins and systems
  • Novel and new technical applications
  • Innovative solutions to deign and engineering challenges
  • Performance analysis and standards
  • Support for industry

Key dates  – note due to requests, these dates have been extended.  

Academic Stream – Peer Reviewed   Industry Stream – Not Peer Reviewed

Abstract Submission Guidelines and Conditions

The abstract should be between 100-200 words. Abstracts must be submitted using the interactive application form. Scanned forms cannot be accepted.
Acceptance of the abstract does not constitute the invitation to present at the conference. All abstract submissions will be reviewed by the Program Committee and confirmation will follow.

By submitting an abstract, authors grant the organisers permission to publish the accepted abstract in hard copy and electronic format for the purposes of promoting the conference.

An invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration fee costs.

Full payment of the registration fee is required for full papers to be reviewed. If an author withdraws their abstract and paper before the Full Paper Submission due date (1 March 2017) and cannot attend the conference, they will be refunded the full registration fee paid less 25% administration fee.  Withdrawal of a paper after the Full Paper Submission due date (1 March 2017) and on or prior to the Paper Notification Date (15 March 2017) means the author will be refunded less 50% of the paid registration fee if they cannot attend the conference. Withdrawal after the Paper Notification Date (15 March 2017) means the author will forfeit the full registration fee.
