Conference venue - Intercontinental Resort Sanctuary Cove

The conference will be held at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, a luxury 5-star conference and holiday detination located on the tropical northern end of the Gold Coast.

It’s the perfect place to focus on shaping your future with composites – gaining the latest knowledge on new and emerging trends and technologies in materials and venue imagesmanufacture and building and renewing relationships with fellow researchers and industry professionals seeking to innovate with composite materials and carbon fibre.

The elegant and sophisticated architecture is inspired by a contemporary twist on the grandeur of a beautiful Queenslander home. The resort boast a marina, acclaimed golf courses, one- acre lagoon beach pool and lush tropical garden landscapes.

Getting there

InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort is located midway between both Brisbane Airport and Gold Coast Airport on the northern end of the Gold Coast. Allow an hour travel time to and from from the airport by car.

Transfers

The resort is affiliated with two private transfer companies and Point to Point Transfers. The concierge can book any transfers you require to get to and from the airport as well as throughout your stay.  Email the Concierge

Public transport

Allow 2:30 hrs.  The Brisbane Airtrain from either airport getting off at Coomera. You can book a chauffeur to meet you at the station and take you to the resort via Airtrain.  Visit the Airtrain website for the journey planner, timetable and to book your ticket (valid for the full day).
 

Conference dinner

Delegates will enjoy a one hour twilight boat trip to the official conference dinner at  McLarens Landing on South Stradbroke Island. Situated on a still-water private beach and featuring all-weather, island-style thatched dinner pavilions nestled in a bushland setting, delegates will enjoy a buffet dinner of fresh meats and seafood, delicious salads, damper (bread) and Aussie desserts under flaming torchlight. A true island paradise experience.
