Australia is contributing to a strong body of knowledge in carbon fibre and carbon fibre composites through extensive work by universities and research agencies, such as the CSIRO and the CRC – Advanced Composites Structures.
An objective of the Carbon Fibre Network is to provide industry with a more effective means to draw on this knowledge and research capability to innovate and grow their business.
As a first step towards meeting this objective, Composites Australia has developed a directory of current research projects being undertaken by universities and research and innovation agencies (RDI’s).
The directory lists the universities and research agencies, the research project, name and contact details of the lead researcher and key words to assist with identifying areas of research potentially relevant to industry.
The directory is available to download as an interactive .pdf here…
This is the first step, and work is already underway to develop a more interactive tool. Please also note, it is a work in progress and will be updated with new listings as they become available. As a Victorian government funded project, the focus is on Victorian organisations.
