In 2014, with funding from the Victorian Government, Composites Australia has formed a collaborative network to facilitate strategic partnerships to improve the commercialisation and adoption of advanced materials, particularly carbon fibre technology, by Victorian manufacturers.
The network comprises organisations with specific interest in carbon fibre:
- Core members: Composites Australia, Technical Textiles and Nonwoven Association (TTNA) and Deakin University.
- Composites Australia members: component manufacturers, suppliers and service providers
- Research, Development and Innovation (RDI’s) agencies: ACS Australia; Carbon Nexus, CRC-ACS, CSIRO
- Victorian universities with a research focus on carbon fibre technologies including Monash, RMIT and Swinburne.
This project reached a conclusion in 2016.
